The Centre for Audio-Visual Technologies aims to provide education and services in the fields of electronic music, sound engineering, applied music, and digital technologies, including applications of artificial intelligence in both music education and production.

The Centre operates at the intersection of research, production, and experimentation, with particular focus on contemporary audio-visual practices.

The facilities are organised into a range of purpose-built spaces, designed with distinct architectural and acoustic characteristics and equipped with interconnected hardware systems via a digital network for audio signal routing and distribution.

In particular, the Centre includes:

Main control room (images 1, 2), connected to a large live room for orchestral recording (image 3), as well as a medium-sized recording space for smaller ensembles and ADR and voice recording (images 4, 5);

Secondary control room, connected to a smaller live room and also dedicated to editing, mixing, and post-production (images 6, 7);

Third studio, dedicated to music for visual media and multimedia production (images 8, 9);

Fourth studio, dedicated to electronic music production and sound design (images 10, 11).

The facilities are complemented by a mobile unit for audio and video recording and a dedicated workstation for artificial intelligence, aimed at the development and application of advanced tools for music creation and education.

The Centre is housed in Palazzo Sersale, in the Municipality of Cerisano (image 12), located at Corso Carmine 59.
